Eton Manor Girls travelled to Worthing at 7am yesterday and returned holding the Shield three teen hours later. We had a tough pool v Sevenoaks, Horsham and Berkshire Baa Baas, with only Sevenaoks getting he better of us after we had a try disallowed. Due to an administrative error we were placed in the Shield play offs but we dusted ourselves off and played our semi-final, beating Worthing Stingers 13-0. The final was another easy victory 8-0.
The girls played their hearts out and were a real credit to the club and to all of us there. Some outstanding team tries, great tackling and real team spirit.
